Specialist Painting Group (SPG) has successfully implemented advanced RPR heat induction technology to remove the existing coating system from seven reactor tanks within a potable water facility.

Originally, abrasive blast cleaning was chosen for the task. However, the method introduced significant challenges, including heightened safety risks, excessive noise, air pollution, hazardous waste, and disruption to the project schedule. Leveraging extensive expertise in industrial surface preparation, SPG recommended the cutting-edge RPR heat induction technology to address these issues effectively.

RPR heat induction is a silent, environmentally friendly coating removal process that generates minimal airborne pollution, ensuring a safer and cleaner working environment. This innovative approach not only minimizes health and safety concerns but also allows other trades to work uninterrupted.

Once the coating system was safely removed, mechanical preparation techniques were employed to meet the specified surface standards, ensuring optimal adhesion. SPG then applied a premium PPG protective coating system, delivering long-lasting protection and durability for the reactor tanks.
