Specialist Painting Group Leads Refurbishment of Historic Finchley Station Cable Bridge

Specialist Painting Group is proud to undertake the meticulous refurbishment of the Finchley Station Cable Bridge (HB41), a vital infrastructure component constructed in 1939. This continuous three-span structure carries essential London Underground service cables over the Northern Line tracks, just north of Finchley Central station.

The refurbishment process involves the complete mechanical removal of the existing protective coating system, thorough surface preparation adhering to specified British Standards, and the application of a high-performance, approved protective coating. These measures are designed to preserve the structural integrity and longevity of this iconic bridge.

With work progressing efficiently, the project is on track for completion in Q2 2020. Specialist Painting Group remains committed to delivering superior results while ensuring minimal disruption to the surrounding environment and railway operations.
